Japan Diary Day 1/ Diario de Japon dia 1

La primera parte del viaje fue muy estresante,porque el avión salió media hora tarde y pensé que no llegaba a tiempo para mi conexión . Como era la misma compañía, un hombre nos guió  por todo el aeropuerto de Roma hasta la puerta de embarque.

The first part of the trip was stressful because the plane was half an hour delayed to take off and I thought I wouldn´t make it for my connection. As it was the same company, a man guided us through Rome´s airport until the boarding gate.

Mis compis de vuelo fueron un inglés y una japonesa con la que me lo pasé muy bien. Después de comer dormi unas 3 horas y después vi películas. Al bajar del avión me crucé con un español que estaba en mi vuelo, y que resultó que lo conocí en mi segundo viaje a Londres, cuando Pepi me llevó a una fiesta en su casa, que casualidad! En Tokyo llovía así que mi plan original de estar un par de horas merodeando por ver algo más que las estaciones de tren fue cancelado y pillé el tren de alta velocidad a Nagoya. Se puede ver el Monte Fuji desde el tren a mitad de camino pero los nubes eran muy densas y estaban muy bajas asi que no hubo suerte.

My flight-mates were an english guy and a japanese girl, and we had a good time together.After lucnh I slept about 3 hours and after I watched some movies. When we landed, I found out that the Spanish guy I was talking to I met him on my second trip to London, whn Pepi took me to a house party,what a coincidence! It was raining in Tokyo so I cancelled my original plan of wandering around for a couple of hours just to see something more than train stations and took the high speed train to Nagoya. Mt Fuji can be seen when you are half of the way but the clouds were too low and thick so I wasn´t lucky.

Tome mi ultimo tren a Okazaki, donde esta mi escuela, y después de firmar papeles e instalarme en la residencia, me fui a explorar la zona. Hay un lago con cerezos en flor al lado, asi que me emocioné en hacer fotos. Luego callejeé a un centro comercial que hay cerca y encontré una tienda grandísima de libros, música y dvd´s, incluida sección de segunda mano donde vi algunas cosas que me compraré en mi última semana, cuando vea cuanto dinero y espacio me quedan.

I took my last train to Okazaki, where my school is, and after signing papers and unpack in the room, I went for a walk to explore the area. There is a lake with cherry trees in blossom nearby, so I took some pictures. Then I wandered through the streets and reached a small shopping centre where I discovered a big dvd, book, cd shop with a big second hand section where I´ve already located some things I will buy on my  last week, once I know how much money I space I have left.

Exploré el supermercado y compré algo para sobrevivir esa tarde y hoy, hasta que explore otra vez.

I explored the supermarket and bought a few things just to survive that evening and today, until I explore again.

Con las mismas, comi algo y me fui a dormir antes de las 8 de la tarde. Mi habitación es compartida, pero de momento estoy sola, y de todas formas la residencia es muy tranquila.

Then I ate something and wen to sleep by 8pm. My room is shared but I´m the only one at the moment, and the residence is very quiet.

Me encuentro muy tranquila, como si fuera tan fácil estar en Japón, ver cerezos en flor, los carteles en japonés, ser la minoría no japonesa, no sé…es como si fuera lo más natural  del mundo estar aquí. Claro que llevo pensando en esto gran parte de mi vida, pero creí que al principio lloraría de emoción!

I find myself at ease, as if it was that easy to be in Japan, to see cherry blossoms, signs in Japanese, be the non-japanese minority, I don´t know…it´s like it was the most natural thing to be here. Well, truth is I´ve been thinking about this most of my life, but I thought I will cry at the beginning, because of exicetement!
